History of TJ|H2b
The Story Behind the Name
TJ|H2b was founded in 1995, building on the legacy of its predecessor, Analytical Associates. TJ|H2b reflects the initials of the company’s founding principals: Theodore John | Haupert, Dave Hanson, Dave Burns, and John Bruhn. These individuals shared a vision of combining technical expertise with innovative solutions to address the industry’s most pressing challenges.
Timeline of Expansion
Decades of Setting Standards
The company’s creation was a direct response to a pivotal event in 1972– an equipment failure resulting in fatalities– that underscored the need for improved safety standards in the electrical utility industry. Driven by the goal of preventing devasting losses and further transformer failures, Analytical Associates pioneered laboratory testing techniques, specifically Dissolved Gas Analysis, as a critical safety tool.
This mission evolved into the foundation for what TJ|H2b stands for today. Our analytical services are still meant to be used as a safety technique and a way to help utilities plan for maintenance and reduce costs by helping them implement Condition-Based Maintenance Programs.
